Living in the north of Lanzarote, Heike finds her inspiration in the island itself, in its landscapes, its light, its winds, its changing colors and the quiet beauty that often goes unnoticed. Her work reflects that same simplicity. Nothing feels forced. Nothing asks for attention. Yet everything holds it.
What I admire most about Heike’s art is her ability to find balance. In a world that constantly asks for more, she seems to know exactly when enough is enough. Her paintings and drawings speak with very few words, but leave lasting impressions. There is wisdom in that restraint, and she carries it with remarkable ease.
